My Weekend With Joel Bauer

Last weekend was so epic that I almost didn’t notice the rest of this week pass by.

Well, not that Tuesday wasn’t equally awesome – but let’s not jump ahead.

See, what happened was that I went to Taylor’s University, to attend a seminar by the amazing Master of Persuasion himself, Joel Bauer.

The man is one of the best closers I’ve ever met, and my brother considers him a “mentor of all mentors”. Which isn’t that inaccurate, since Joel trained some of the best speakers out there: Mark Victor Hansen, Robert Allen… even my brother himself.

Plus, the title of his seminar was “How to Persuade People Who Don’t Want To Be Persuaded”. That’s plenty of incentive right there, in my opinion.

He’s like a real life Harvey Specter (yes, I watch Suits), only more awesome.

I wanted to take a photo with him – Joel Bauer, not Harvey – and talk to him at the seminar, but he always seemed to be surrounded by admiring fan girls (and guys), so I had to give up.

So you can imagine how happy I was when I found out that my brother had invited Joel to our office on Tuesday.

I was a little less than pleased when I found out Joel had dropped by on Monday as well (damn meetings!), when I wasn’t able to go in. I missed a lot, but luckily I didn’t miss out on his Tuesday visit.

I can’t give out all the details, but let’s just say that my brother has a huge joint venture thing planned with him and our entire team is very excited about it.

In fact, we’ve been working on his projects most of the week. It’s been pretty busy.

I finally got to spend time with Joel and talk to him.

I even got that photo I wanted.

When Awesome meets Awesome.

Be jealous.
