List Building Tips, Part 4

An autoresponder allows you to create and send customized email messages to your subscribers to make them feel unique. Some of the best autoresponder solutions are:

AWeber: this is one of the most used autoresponder tool due to its reliability. AWeber allows you to send unlimited messages to up to 500 subscribers. Although the service is costlier than other automated email solutions, it offers ease of use, flexibility and reliability. You can try it for 30 days by pay just $1 and then pay $19 a month for up to 500 subscribers.

GetResponse: this email marketing service offers user-friendly reports with graphical presentations that assist you in optimizing your email marketing campaign. It can also send out autoresponders that will follow up with your subscribers. However, the downside of GetResponse is that it cannot send automatic emails depending on the link that site visitors click on. You can try it for 30 days and then pay $15 a month for up to 1,000 subscribers.

ConstantContact: this service is ideal for businesses looking for additional features such as multilingual and custom templates, additional hosting for images and email archiving. The service also offers a tracking tool that allows you to understand what is effective and what is not. The premium cost of Constant Contact might be the only deterrent.

MailChimp: integrates humor into email marketing by linking pages to a comical YouTube video. MailChimp offers a wide variety of reports that enable you to monitor the effectiveness of your email marketing campaign. However, some subscribers might perceive the links to the humorous video as unprofessional and distracting. It is completely free if you have less than 2,000 subscribers and send less than 12,000 emails a month.
